Family Weekend Camp and Teen Retreat

Up to age 21 · Full day

Camps for children with epilepsy and their immediate relatives (siblings, parents and guardians), offered as a Family Weekend Camp and a Teen Retreat. The aim is for families to connect with others affected by epilepsy and have fun in a safe, supportive setting. Listed activities include arts and crafts, woodshop, fishing, archery, boating, swimming and indoor and outdoor games. Epilepsy Foundation Los Angeles is vendored with Lanterman Regional Center for camping services, so regional center funding may apply for eligible families. The foundation also runs family events where parents can talk to a specialist and siblings meet other siblings, a Spanish-language program with bilingual staff, and a helpline at 800.564.0445 (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm).
