Camp Bloomfield
A free outdoor camp that has run since 1958 for children who are blind, visually impaired or have multiple disabilities, with activities adapted for children of all ages and abilities. The youth/teen session is for ages 7-17 who are blind or visually impaired and combines traditional camp activities adapted for safety with independence and life skills activities. A family session lets caregivers and siblings attend with children who are blind, visually impaired or have multiple disabilities. An adult session is held separately. Campers attend at no charge thanks to private donors. The camp is accredited by the American Camp Association. After losing its Malibu site, it holds each session at a different location; the 2026 youth/teen session was at Lions Camp at Wrightwood and the family session at Pathfinder Ranch near Mountain Center.
