Speech therapy and child development therapy

Up to age 3

Play-based, family-coached speech therapy for infants and toddlers ages 0-3, plus child development therapy for young children with developmental delays or difficulty with regulation and social engagement. Sessions are child-led and built into everyday routines, and caregivers get hands-on strategies and home programs to use between visits. Verbal Tree also does developmental assessments covering communication, social interaction, and gross and fine motor skills. It is a vendor of the North Los Angeles County Regional Center: families apply for Early Start through NLACRC, then ask their Service Coordinator for a referral to Verbal Tree. The team helps with IFSP reviews and the transition to preschool or school services. Founder Yelena Rodriguez, MA, CCC-SLP is bilingual and works on bilingual and dual-language development, early language, speech sounds, fluency, social communication and gestalt language processing. Services reach children across home, school and community settings.
