Individual, one-to-one speech and language therapy and evaluations for children at a Torrance clinic founded in 1998. After assessment, the therapist builds a charted treatment plan around the child's strengths, needs and interests, and caregivers join sessions as partners. Areas include articulation, receptive and expressive language, apraxia and dysarthria, auditory processing, stuttering, voice, literacy and social skills, with a specialty in children on the autism spectrum. Toddler Talk is a parent-and-me early intervention group for ages 18 months to 3 years, with 3-4 toddlers led by a speech pathologist and an aide. Kid Talk is a social skills group led only by speech-language pathologists. Harbor and Westside Regional Centers and Torrance Unified, Palos Verdes Unified and Inspire Charter are invoiced directly. Insurance includes Blue Shield PPO, Cigna PPO, United Health Care PPO and Health Net-Tricare. Private pay is by half-hour, 45-minute or one-hour sessions. A free phone consult or screening is offered.
