Occupational therapy and sensory integration

Pediatric occupational therapy grounded in Ayres Sensory Integration, offered as individual or group sessions for children, teens and young adults in Los Angeles' South Bay communities. Areas of work include sensory processing, organization, behavior and emotions, self-care (feeding, dressing, sleep, toilet training), visual motor, fine motor and bilateral coordination, and social participation and community integration. Feeding therapy covers transitioning to solids, oral motor skills, selective eating, utensil use and mealtime behaviors. Caregiver training, school accommodation recommendations and home modification advice are also offered. Sessions are held in the clinic, at homes and at schools, with travel charges for home and school visits. The practice is listed with Harbor Regional Center and accepts Self Determination Program funding. It is also out-of-network and does not bill insurance directly; families pay at the time of service and receive a superbill. Intake begins with an online form and a scheduling call; evaluations take about 2-3 hours of direct contact and include a written report and goals.
