Pediatric occupational therapy built around the everyday tasks a child needs to do, such as getting dressed, eating meals, holding a pencil and climbing stairs. Therapists work in early intervention, sensory processing, sensory integration, feeding, motor development, developmental assessments, ADL training and play-based therapy, and the team includes a therapist with a focus on autism. Each plan starts with a meeting and assessment, then sets specific goals around a real task and is adjusted as the child progresses. Sessions can be brought to the family's home when it helps. The practice is vendored with Harbor Regional Center for Early Start special therapy. Two therapists are bilingual in English and Spanish. The practice says most clients are seen within a week, and families can call, email or come with a doctor's referral.
