Trampoline park or indoor playground? Ages and prices side by side

The two kinds suit different ages. Indoor playgrounds are built for babies to about 8: padded structures, ball pits, pretend play, and usually a parent playing alongside. Trampoline and adventure parks suit kids about 5 and up, with attractions that have height or age limits, but most now have a toddler area or a cheaper ticket for little ones. Ninja gyms like Lightning Ninja are for kids 5 and up who want a real obstacle course.

Socks, waivers and toddler times

Almost every place here is socks-only, and the trampoline parks sell their own grip socks. Keep them: Rebounderz and Sky Zone socks are reusable, so bringing a clean pair back saves a few dollars.

  • Socks. Urban Air ($4.49), Rebounderz ($4.25), Sky Zone, FunBox and Peek-a-Boo Factory ($3) require their own grip socks for jumpers or for kids in the structures. Enchanted, BusyKids and Space to Play want adults in socks too. Lightning Ninja is the exception: closed-toe athletic shoes.
  • Waivers. Sign online before you go, for everyone in your group. Enchanted wants a waiver from every adult who walks in, grandparents included, and a separate one for Rocklin. Space to Play needs one from every guest, adults included.
  • Toddler tickets and areas. Look for Rebounderz’s Junior ticket (5 and under) and toddler trampoline zone, Urban Air’s Shorty ticket (40 inches and under) and Kid’s Area (7 and under), and the toddler zones at Kids Empire and Peek-a-Boo Factory. Sky Zone mentions Toddler Times and Little Leapers but doesn’t post schedules, so call.
  • Babies. Enchanted has an infant area for babies to 18 months. Babies are free with a paying sibling at Enchanted, Wacky Tacky, Peek-a-Boo Factory and Kids Empire, free at WonderPlay Zone up to 5 months and at FunBox up to age 2.
  • Food. Wacky Tacky and BusyKids don’t allow outside food (BusyKids makes an exception for a bagged lunch). Enchanted lets you eat your own food at its public tables but not bring a cake or decorations unless you’ve booked a party.

Rainy-day tips and ways to pay less

Sacramento’s indoor playgrounds fill up on rainy weekends and school breaks. A few things help:

  • Book ahead. Enchanted recommends reservations on weekends and school holidays (Rocklin requires one), FunBox sells timed tickets, WonderPlay Zone says sessions fill up, and Kindred’s mornings are by reservation only.
  • Go on a weekday. Rebounderz posts half-price admission on Mondays and buy one, get one on Wednesdays. Urban Air and Rebounderz open at 4 p.m. on weekdays and Sky Zone Elk Grove at 3 p.m., so weekday mornings belong to the playgrounds.
  • Buy in bulk if you’ll be back. Kids Empire sells 10 visits for $159, Sky Zone sells four two-hour tickets for $59.98 to use within 45 days, Kindred sells 5 visits for $65, and Enchanted and Kindred have $45 monthly memberships.
  • Check weekend hours. Several places close early or close off play areas for private parties: Enchanted Elk Grove has open play only on Saturday mornings, Enchanted Natomas is closed to open play on Sundays, and Wacky Tacky Roseville closes its playgrounds at 5 p.m. on weekends.
  • Mixed ages? Kids Empire (1 to 12, with a toddler zone), Rebounderz and Urban Air keep a big kid and a toddler busy in the same building.

Questions parents ask

Which trampoline parks in Sacramento are good for toddlers?

Several have space set aside for little ones. Urban Air on Arden Way has a Kid’s Area for children 7 and under and a cheaper Shorty ticket for kids 40 inches or shorter. Rebounderz has a toddler trampoline zone, an indoor playground for ages 0 to 7 and a $19.99 Junior ticket for kids 5 and under. FunBox in Natomas is free for ages 0 to 2 with a ticketed adult, though kids 5 and under must go into the inflatables with a parent. Sky Zone mentions Toddler Times and Little Leapers; call for the schedule.

How much does a trampoline park cost in Sacramento?

As posted in October 2026: Sky Zone Elk Grove is $22.99 for 90 minutes or $25.99 for two hours; Sky Zone Sacramento and Roseville are $29.99 for two hours; Rebounderz is $19.99 for kids 5 and under, $29.99 for two hours or $34.99 all day, plus a 3% fee; Urban Air is $34.99 all day, or $17.49 for kids 40 inches and under. Add grip socks: $4.25 at Rebounderz and $4.49 at Urban Air. Rebounderz is half price on Mondays.

Do you need grip socks at an indoor playground?

Usually, yes. The trampoline parks (Urban Air, Rebounderz, Sky Zone, FunBox) require their own grip socks, sold at the desk. Among the playgrounds, Enchanted requires grip socks for kids in the structures and Peek-a-Boo Factory sells its own for $3; Wacky Tacky, BusyKids and Space to Play ask for clean socks for everyone, adults included. Space to Play makes allowances for kids who can’t keep socks on for sensory reasons. The ninja gym is the exception: Lightning Ninja wants closed-toe athletic shoes.

Are there indoor playgrounds in Roseville?

Yes. Wacky Tacky on Galilee Road has two themed play structures for $18 a child with one adult free. Sky Zone Roseville, at the old Rockin’ Jump address on North Sunrise Avenue, is the trampoline park, and Lightning Ninja Academy in Roseville Square runs open gym for kids 5 and up. Close by are Enchanted’s farm-themed playground in Rocklin and Kindred Play Collective in Orangevale. If you search for Kids Empire Roseville, note that it’s in Minnesota.

What indoor playgrounds are in Elk Grove?

Enchanted Elk Grove on Grant Line Road is for babies to 6-year-olds (siblings to 9), with an infant area, at $15 for the first child. Space to Play on Elk Grove Florin Road is an inclusive playground and art studio with messy play and monthly memberships. Sky Zone Elk Grove on Dwight Road is the trampoline park, from $22.99 for 90 minutes. Utopia Play & Cafe, for ages 0 to 8 on Elk Grove Boulevard, hadn’t opened as of October 2026.

Do parents have to pay at indoor playgrounds?

Usually not for the first adult. Enchanted, Wacky Tacky, Peek-a-Boo Factory and BusyKids include one adult with each paying child, and Kids Empire includes two; extra adults cost $5 to $10. FunBox is different: every guest needs a ticket, jumping or not. At Urban Air, a parent who wants to play buys a $17.49 parent ticket, and Kindred’s membership includes two adults a visit.

How we made this list

We searched the web (Exa) for indoor playgrounds, play cafés, trampoline parks and ninja gyms across the Sacramento area, then read each place’s own pages in October 2026 for ages, prices, hours and rules. We left out places we couldn’t confirm were open or in California (several Roseville results are in Minnesota or Michigan), a play café that hasn’t opened, sites that wouldn’t load and directory listings. Prices and hours change often, so check before you go.

No one paid to be on it. It’s information to start from, not medical or legal advice: check services, costs and coverage with each provider before you book. Spotted something out of date, or run a place that belongs here? Write to hello@summerground.com.
