Joe Patton Academy Camp (JPAC)

Up to age 21 · Free · Full day · 9am–4pm

Inclusive summer day camp run by Special Needs Network for children with autism and other special needs and their neurotypical siblings and peers, ages 5 to 16. A separate program serves late adolescents and emerging adults ages 17 to 24 on the transition to adulthood. The 2026 session runs July 14 to August 8 at CRETE Academy, 6103 Crenshaw Blvd., with pre-care 8-9 AM, camp 9 AM-4 PM and after-care 4-6 PM. Enrollment is about 60% children with special needs and 40% typically developing children, with nearly 300 campers. The curriculum mixes structured learning, creative play, arts, athletics, theater, science and a talent show around the theme One World, One Team. It is designed for regional center and SNN ABA clients; siblings, peers and friends are welcome. Campers must be potty trained, bring daily lunch and snacks (food restrictions cannot be accommodated), and register separately in person, first come, first served.

About Special Needs Network

Special Needs Network (SNN) is a Los Angeles nonprofit serving children and families affected by autism and other special needs. Its programs include in-home and center-based ABA, speech and occupational therapy, a concierge assessment and therapeutic program, parent advocacy mentor training, workforce programs for youth and young adults, and the Joe Patton Academy summer camp and soccer program. Its therapy centers are in Willowbrook, Crenshaw, Culver City and Valencia.
