Child and adolescent therapy and psychological testing

A multi-therapist practice (psychologists, marriage and family therapists and a clinical social worker) that works with children and adolescents as well as adults and families. Adolescent therapy addresses school changes, friendships, social media and peer pressure; areas of expertise include depression, trauma, anxiety and panic, ADHD and interpersonal effectiveness. Therapists draw on psychodynamic therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, EMDR and sensorimotor therapy. Neuropsychological evaluations are offered for children and adolescents, including learning disorder and ADHD assessment, ending with feedback sessions and a written report with diagnostic impressions and treatment recommendations. Sessions are held in person at the Barrington Avenue office, by phone or by online video. The practice states it has no waiting list and offers appointments at times that fit the family's schedule. Adults are seen too.
