Speech, occupational therapy and psychological services
The Lingual Tree is a California Department of Education certified nonpublic agency for 2026-27. It is certified for three services: language, speech and hearing development and remediation (speech-language therapy), occupational therapy, and psychological services. Certified nonpublic agencies provide related services to students whose school districts contract with them through an IEP, so these services are paid for by the school district. The state list shows ages 4 through 18 (pre-K through grade 12) and a certified capacity of 75 students. Families who think their child needs speech, language, hearing-related, occupational therapy or psychological support at school can ask the IEP team whether the district uses this agency.

TREE Academy for the Creative Arts, New Technology and Social Justice is a private, nonprofit middle and high school in West Hollywood. The school traces its roots to New Roads, Crossroads and P.S. ARTS, and its site names co-founder Dr. Paul Cummins, who co-founded Crossroads School in Santa Monica in 1971.
