Baby & Me Swim Classes

Up to age 2 · $100/month

Parents hold their babies in the water in classes of 6 to 9 students. Classes are 30 minutes and offered daily at varying times, four lessons a month at one a week. Tuition is by the month and is based on a four-week month; a one-time $25 setup fee applies. A free trial class can be booked.

Private Swim Lessons

Up to age 17 · $145–$290/month

Private lessons have a 1-to-1 student-to-teacher ratio, once a week, four lessons a month. Fifteen-minute lessons start at $145 a month and thirty-minute lessons at $290 a month. Parents can watch from poolside seating. A free trial class can be booked.

Group and Semi-Private Swim Lessons

Ages 2–17 · $120–$145/month

Semi-private lessons (ages 2 and up, two students) suit families or friends who want to swim together regardless of age or skill. Group lessons (ages 3 and up, up to three students) are scheduled by skill level, keeping age in mind. Tuition is by the month for one lesson a week; a free in-water evaluation and a free trial class are available.

  • Group lessons $120 a month; semi-private $145 a month, per student.

Pre-Team Development and Stroke Clinics

Ages 6–17 · $130–$260/month

Pre-Team Development prepares swimmers for a competitive team environment. Team Endurance (one hour, twice a week) works on distance with solid stroke technique, and Team Power (two hours, once a week) adds speed and advanced technique; both have prerequisites based on an in-water evaluation. Stroke Clinics (one hour, once a week) give specialized instruction in the four competitive strokes. Class times are given by phone.

  • Stroke clinic $130 a month; Team Endurance and Team Power $260 a month.

About South Bay Aquatics

A family-owned swim school founded in 2008 by John and Chris Wolf, with two climate-controlled indoor pools built for babies, toddlers and children in Redondo Beach and Torrance. Lessons run at a consistent day and time each week, with a 3-to-1 student-to-teacher ratio in group classes and free make-up lessons.
