Kid Talk social skills groups
Kid Talk is a social skills group program designed, taught and led exclusively by certified speech-language pathologists, for children and adolescents who need help with speech, language and communication skills in a group setting. Each child is placed in a group of peers matched to their needs. The clinic also works with children on the autism spectrum and includes parents or caregivers in treatment as a partnership. Group sessions run one hour. Kid Talk is funded through Harbor Regional Center (the clinic invoices the regional center; it also works with Westside Regional Center), through contracted school districts (Torrance Unified, Palos Verdes Unified, Inspire Charter School), through several insurance plans, or by private pay with cash, check, Visa or Mastercard. A free phone consult or in-person screening is available for evaluations.
