Developmental and psychoeducational assessment
Child assessment by a licensed clinical developmental psychologist who is also a pediatric nurse practitioner. Developmental assessment covers newborns to 7 year olds. Psychoeducational evaluations look at pre-academic or academic skills, aptitude/IQ, social, emotional and behavioral concerns, attention and executive function, and diagnosis, including ADHD and learning challenges such as dyslexia, dysgraphia and slow processing speed. Reports with recommendations can support school and testing accommodations. Gifted IQ testing is offered for school or program applications, primarily ages 3-12. The practice is on the Lanterman Regional Center vendor list for pediatric developmental assessment, and the psychologist has assessed children with suspected developmental delay and autism for that regional center. Private-pay testing fees vary by tests and reports; the practice is out-of-network and provides an invoice for insurance reimbursement.

Child and family therapy and parent coaching
Therapy for a child, a parent and child, or a family: individual cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, family therapy, parent-child dyadic therapy and listening therapy (Safe & Sound filtered music). Parent coaching covers new parents, parenting a child with ADHD, parenting a child with special needs, infant massage instruction and positive parenting skills. PC-CARE is a 7-week dyadic program (an assessment plus six weekly one-hour sessions) for families of children ages 1 to 10, in which the caregiver is coached live during play. Grief and bereavement counseling and telehealth are also listed. Private pay: first 75-minute session with intake surveys $350, then $270 for 50 minutes; coaching $250 per 60 minutes. Out-of-network, with an invoice provided for insurance reimbursement.
