Sunsational Swim School

At-Home Private Swim Lessons

Up to age 17 · $73–$84/class

Private swim lessons taught at the family's own pool or a community pool the family chooses in the Sacramento area. After registering online, families are matched with an instructor by location, schedule and preferences, and lessons are booked at times that suit them, including back-to-back lessons for siblings. Students progress through levels from Tadpole to Jellyfish, learning breath holding, floats, kicking, turning to find the wall and climbing out. A Learn-to-Swim Guarantee for children 3 and older gives up to four extra lessons free if the child can't do the safety sequence after 12 lessons, with conditions such as 3 lessons a week and a pool of at least 82 degrees. On the Sacramento page, 30-minute private lessons run $73 to $84 each depending on package size (6, 12 or 18 lessons). Pool entrance fees are paid by the customer, and there is a $20 annual registration fee per student.
