Group Swim Lessons

Swim lessons · Ages 3–17 · $100–$200/term

Classes meet twice a week (Monday and Wednesday, or Tuesday and Thursday) or once a week on Friday, Saturday or Sunday; weekday morning classes are offered too. Ratios are 5 to 1 for preschool and 6 to 1 for school age. Fall sessions run September 7-October 4, October 5-November 1 and November 2-29, then a three-week holiday session to December 20. Some October Saturdays may be cancelled for UCLA games. The Rose Buds team is the next step after lessons, by tryout.

Adaptive swim lessons

Swimming tutoring · Up to age 21

Adaptive swim lessons for swimmers with disabilities, taught one-on-one or semi-private from age 3. The center's private and semi-private lessons run 30 minutes and are built around individual instruction, so each swimmer gets undivided attention and a tailored lesson. The center says only its most experienced instructors teach private lessons. Regional center-funded lessons are available by request, and RBAC is on the vendor lists of Eastern Los Angeles and Lanterman regional centers. Lessons take place at the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center at 360 N Arroyo Blvd in Pasadena. The center also hosts the Rays Swim Team for swimmers with special needs, and has a warm-water therapy pool.
