Outpatient development and learning center in Norwalk offering "Kidz 'R Kidz," a fully inclusive, integrated group program run in a preschool-style setting three times a week for three hours a day (Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.). It serves children from 18 months to five years old, both those with developmental delays or disabilities and typically developing children. Children are divided into four groups by age and developmental level. The program works on speech and language, gross and fine motor, cognitive, social/emotional and self-help/feeding skills, plus family support and training; parents are encouraged to take part with their children where possible. Staff include a director with a BA in Early Childhood Development, a registered occupational therapist, an occupational therapy assistant, a speech/language specialist and preschool teachers and aides. It names cerebral palsy, autism, sensory integrative dysfunction, learning disorders, motor delays, speech and language disorders and Down syndrome among the needs it serves.
