Early intervention for infants and toddlers
Early intervention for infants and toddlers, with parents and caregivers taking part in sessions. The individual First Steps program offers therapies built around each family's goals, covering gross and fine motor, speech and language, cognition, sensory, self-care and social skills, and is delivered in the home, at the center or out in the community (parks, preschools, restaurants). Next Steps is a three-hour small group program for children 12 to 36 months with sensory- or motor-based delays and difficulties in cognition, social-emotional and communication skills. It combines speech, occupational and physical therapy in play-based activities. The Tummy Time infant program, for birth to 12 months, is described as a family-focused program with parent education and play sessions offered at no cost. The center is a Harbor Regional Center vendor, so services are regional-center funded. Individual speech, OT and PT are also listed.
