Speech and Language Therapy

Up to age 17

Speech-language pathologists provide evaluations and therapy for articulation, receptive and expressive language, voice, stuttering and fluency, AAC, social communication, cognitive-communication, aural rehabilitation and orofacial myofunctional therapy, which addresses tongue thrust, mouth breathing and oral posture. Clients of all ages are seen. Sessions run 30 to 50 minutes depending on age, needs, goals and insurance authorization, and evaluations are one hour. Therapy takes place at the Riverside Blvd clinic, in the family's home depending on location and therapist availability, or at a child's daycare or school with the program's approval. Parents are encouraged to take part in sessions, and parent coaching is offered. Social and group therapy runs periodically. Spanish-speaking therapists are available. The practice is in-network with select plans including Blue Shield of California, Anthem Blue Cross, Cigna, Kaiser and United Healthcare, partners with Alta California Regional Center, accepts private pay and provides superbills.
