About BLAST Programs

BLAST was founded in 1997 by Dr. Peter Gero (LMFT) to give children, teens and adults who struggle socially a safe, supportive place to learn to be successful with others. It is owned and operated by Katie Enney, Psy.D., a licensed psychologist, and Dr. Gero, who supervise staff on an ongoing basis. Staff include therapists accruing licensure hours, psychology students, teachers and child educators. Besides camp, BLAST runs social skills groups, adaptive skills services and parent training at La Crescenta and a temporary Sierra Madre site (19 Suffolk Ave, Unit E), used while the Altadena location is rebuilt after the Eaton Fire.
