Summer animation workshop
A one-week animation boot camp for students with autism, developmental disabilities and learning differences, taught by Dani Bowman and DaniMation instructors in an autism-positive setting. Students learn storyboarding and visual storytelling, character design and digital drawing, basic animation techniques, voice acting and sound recording, and project planning, and each works toward a short animated project. Instruction is step-by-step with individualized support, predictable structure and positive reinforcement, at each student's own pace. Beginners and students with prior art or animation experience are welcome. The Los Angeles session meets in Burbank July 5-9, 2027; a virtual session runs July 26-30, 2027. Families can self-pay or use Self Determination or Regional Center funding. Free half-hour consultations and a free animation class are offered.

About DaniMation Entertainment
DaniMation Entertainment is a cloud-based autism talent development company that produces 2D animation, illustration and graphic arts and teaches animation to teens and young adults with autism and other disabilities. It was founded by Dani Bowman, who has led summer animation camps around the country since age 15, first with Joey Travolta's Inclusion Films and later on her own, and who has taught over a thousand students. The company also has a studio in Los Angeles with a neurodiversity team. ToonBoom Animation sponsors it with animation software for these classes. Besides summer workshops it offers a two-semester skill-development program with Spectrum Laboratory's Spec Saturday Animation Workshop and one-on-one mentorships with animation professionals.
