Pediatric occupational therapy

Up to age 21

Occupational therapy for children and adolescents, tailored to each client's goals and built on evidence-based assessments and treatments. Sessions take place in the family's home, out in the community (school, the playground, stores, restaurants) so skills are practiced in real settings, or by telemedicine. Areas of work include fine motor skills such as handwriting and cutting, gross motor skills, sensory processing, executive functioning, social skills and play, feeding and swallowing, daily living skills, exercise intolerance, and the transition to adulthood. Frequently treated diagnoses include ADHD, autism, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, concussion and traumatic brain injury, POTS, headaches and migraines, and complications of oncological treatment. Dr. Madison Harris focuses on adolescents and young adults; Dr. Shannon Westerberg on pediatrics and adolescents, with a play-based, strengths-based approach.
