Child, adolescent and family therapy, testing and social skills groups

A licensed child psychologist who provides individual, group and family therapy for children and adolescents, and sometimes works with parents alone, in individual sessions or small parenting groups for children ages 2 to 11. She evaluates and treats children and teens with developmental disabilities including autism spectrum disorders, and runs social skills groups; she trained in the PEERS program for adolescents with Asperger's or high-functioning autism. A parent education and support group for parents of adolescents with autism is offered. Other work covers ADHD, depression, anxiety, OCD and trauma, plus psychological testing. School services include classroom observation, teacher interviews, a written report with a behavior plan, team meetings, IEP attendance and training of 1:1 shadow aides. Every family starts with an hour-long intake; sessions are then 45 minutes. Fee-for-service (cash or check), sliding scale slots, Blue Cross, Blue Shield and Aetna accepted, and superbills for PPO out-of-network reimbursement.
