Summer Musical Theater Day Camp

Theater and acting camp · Ages 5+ · $325–$350/week · Full day

Week-long musical theater day camps run each summer through CYT Sacramento, with the Folsom camp held at Jesus Culture on Coolidge Dr. Campers rotate through acting, singing and dancing workshops, play team games, do character-building lessons and finish the week with a showcase performance for family and friends, free to attend. The 2026 Folsom camp for ages 8-12 had a pirate theme and cost $350. For 2027, day camps for ages 5-18 are tentatively planned for July 12-17 and July 19-23, with registration opening March 1, 2027 and a launch rate of $325 until May 31. Staff are local teaching artists and theater specialists, all background checked. A scholarship application is available.

Theater Classes

Acting and theater class · Ages 5+ · $275/term

Fall, winter and spring sessions of once-a-week, two-hour theater classes in drama, voice, dance, musical theater, comedy and improv, technical theater and more, with Our Gang classes for ages 5-7. Winter 2027 classes meet Mondays at Jesus Culture in Folsom and Thursdays at Acton Academy in Roseville, 4:00 to 6:15pm, with extra evening classes in Folsom. Each session ends with a free showcase for family and friends. Students ages 8-18 enrolled in a class can audition for the session's Broadway-style musical. The class fee is $275 per session, plus a $250 production fee for cast members. Financial assistance applications are available. Teachers are background checked.
