Early intervention program (Spirit EIP)
Spirit Early Intervention Program is a comprehensive early intervention program for children from birth to age 3 with special needs, run by Spirit Child Development Center in Los Angeles next to the University of Southern California. It was added in 2007 by owner Stephanie Dinwiddie, Ph.D., a former USC Clinical Professor. The center is a vendor of Eastern Los Angeles Regional Center and Lanterman Regional Center, so services for eligible children are funded through the regional center; its vendor listings include early intervention, occupational therapy and speech therapy service categories. Spirit says it combines early childhood education curricula with a learning environment for children of any developmental age, stage or ability. Families can request a tour through the website or by phone.
