Suzuki Piano Lessons and Early Start Classes

Up to age 17 · $490–$1,080

Piano lessons taught with the Suzuki method, which teaches children to play by ear and from memory before they read music. Private lessons are for ages three to seven, with a separate track for ages eight and up. Reading begins after the first seven pieces are played hands together. A parent acts as the practice partner at home, and no audition is needed. Group classes follow an age-stepped path from birth through age 5, then move into private lessons. For age 4, 24-week options run from $795 for an in-person group class to $1,080 for a 30-minute private lesson, plus online group classes. The academy also teaches homeschool and charter-school music theory classes and says the method suits children with special challenges.
