DPNS Summer Camp

Outdoor and nature camp · Ages 3–5 · $175–$225/week · Half day · 9–11:45am

A half-day summer camp for children aged 3 years 6 months to 5 years 9 months, running Monday through Friday from 9am to 11:45am at the school's 8th Street campus in Davis. Each week has a theme, such as sports fun, bugs and gardens, dinosaurs, super science or outer space, over nine weeks in June to August. The weekly price is $175 with one day of parent participation, or $225 with no parent participation (limited buyout spaces). Currently enrolled DPNS children get priority enrollment, then the camp opens to the public first-come, first-served. Age exceptions may be available. Dates for next summer are not yet posted.

Co-op Preschool (2, 3 or 5 day)

Preschool · Ages 2–5

A parent-participation cooperative preschool in central Davis, held Monday through Friday mornings from 9:00 to 11:45. Families choose 2, 3 or 5 days a week in a mixed-age class. Children must be 2 years 9 months by September 1 and not yet in kindergarten. The play-based program builds social, emotional and physical skills for kindergarten, while parents take part in the classroom and attend parent education. The school follows the Davis Joint Unified School District calendar, late August to mid-June, and admission is for the full school year. Open enrollment runs in February and March, with applications made through Brightwheel, and applications continue first-come, first-served afterward. Tuition is paid in 10 monthly payments.

    Davis Parent Nursery School (DPNS) is a non-profit, parent-participation cooperative preschool founded in 1949. Parents work alongside the professional teaching staff, and the school is affiliated with the Davis Joint Unified School District through its adult education program. Besides preschool, it runs parent-child Tummy Time and Playgroup programs, a summer camp and parenting education, all at its 8th Street campus.
