Camp Putah
A longstanding City of Davis camp. Campers meet with their bikes at Central Park and ride to the camp site behind the UC Davis airport; they must bike 10 or more miles a day and bring their own bike and helmet. Thursday adds rock climbing at Rocknasium, swimming, a campfire and an overnight campout, and families are invited to watch skits and songs. Camp ends Friday at noon. T-shirt included. PM Kids Club (3 to 6 pm) is available Monday to Wednesday. Summer 2027 dates and prices are not posted yet. For summer 2026, registration opened for Davis residents on Feb 25 (Camp Putah, Trekkers and Horse Camps) and Mar 11 (other camps), with non-residents the following Monday. Summer Sampler
Each day has a different style of camp. This is a biking camp: campers need a bike and helmet and to be able to ride 5 miles. Drop-off is at Harvest Park on field-trip days and Central Park on Camp Putah days. 2026 field trips included Sac Town Family Fun, Velocity Island, Davis Paintball (low impact) and Discovery Kingdom. Summer 2027 dates and prices are not posted yet. Backyard Adventures
Based at Community Park. This is a biking camp: a bike and helmet are required, and drop-off on Camp Putah days is at Central Park. Swimming days need a swimsuit and towel. About City of Davis Parks & Community Services
The City of Davis recreation department runs youth classes, school-break camps, an after-school program, teen classes and youth sports, registering through its WebTrac system. Residents pay lower fees than non-residents, and fees include small ePACT and equipment charges.
