Behavior intervention (ABA)

Ages 2+

Behavior intervention for children from age 2 and up, delivered in natural settings: the child's home, school and the community. The team works with the family and the child's other providers so that strategies carry over to real-world situations. It is funded several ways: the Department of Developmental Services (Keany Associates is a DDS-vendored provider, so regional center families can use it), school districts for children age 3 and up with an IEP, private pay billed directly to the family, or health insurance when the child has an autism diagnosis. Insurers named include Anthem Blue Cross, HealthNet, Blue Shield of California, TRICARE, United Health Care, United Behavioral Health and Optum. Clients live throughout greater Los Angeles, from Woodland Hills to Gardena and Marina Del Rey to West Hollywood.

  • Behavior intervention, Applied behavior analysis and Family and team collaboration
  • Insurance: Regional center funded: vendored with a California regional center; Paid by a school district through an IEP (a nonpublic agency or school)
  • Where care happens: In the family’s home; At the child’s school or daycare; Out in the community: parks, stores, playdates

    Infant development (Brite Kids)

    Up to age 3

Brite Kids Infant Development programs support children's overall development through play, and aim to encourage and celebrate each child's personality and strengths. In-home services are for ages 0 to 3; center-based services are for ages 18 months to 3 years and are offered at 1:2 and 1:3 staff-to-child ratios. Brite Kids is vendored by the Department of Developmental Services for both in-home and center-based infant development, so regional center families can use it, and families not using state funding can pay privately and are billed directly. Clients live throughout greater Los Angeles, from Woodland Hills to Gardena and Marina Del Rey to West Hollywood.

Occupational and speech therapy (Brite Kids)

      Up to age 8

Sessions are one-to-one and address sensory processing, motor control and planning, postural control, arousal and attention, and psychosocial skills through everyday and play-based activities. After an evaluation and assessment, therapy takes place in the Brite Kids OT clinic or in the family's home when a child is not yet ready for the clinic. OT and speech therapy are provided for children from birth through 5 years 11 months (the OT program lists ages 0 to 8). In-network with Kaiser and Anthem Blue Cross for OT and with Kaiser for speech; also contracted with Blue Shield of California, TRICARE, United Health Care and Optum for OT.
