Social skills groups

Social skills group · Up to age 21 · For kids with special needs

Clinic-based social skills groups in which children learn to build friendships, share, take turns and collaborate. Guided by trained therapists, the small-group activities give practice in communication, problem-solving and social interaction in real-world situations. The groups are part of FACT's group ABA program and are supervised by a licensed clinician. Parent participation is not required, but families are invited to optional Parent Coaching Workshops that teach strategies for supporting social, behavioral and communication growth outside the clinic. FACT is on the North Los Angeles County Regional Center provider list, and the regional center lists it for community integration training. The Los Angeles administrative office is at 1880 Century Park East; satellite offices in Torrance and Northridge are by appointment only. Contact the children and youth team at 310-876-4882.

    School-based ABA

    ABA therapy · Ages 5+

School-based ABA delivered in partnership with Los Angeles Unified School District for students in grades K-12. Behavior Intervention Implementers (BIIs) and Behavior Intervention Developers (BIDs) work directly in the classroom to help students succeed academically, socially and behaviorally. Services are tailored to each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) and delivered in collaboration with school staff. LAUSD administration determines eligibility, so families interested in FACT's services contact their child's school to ask about availability. FACT is a California Department of Education certified nonpublic agency for 2026-27 (listed ages 5-22, grades K-12), so the service is paid for by the school district.
