Child & adolescent ABA services

Up to age 21

The Child & Adolescent Services division offers intensive ABA, early intensive behavioral intervention using discrete trial training built into play, pivotal response training, play-based intervention, adaptive skills training (self-help, communication, social and community safety skills), social skills training, functional behavior assessments, and psychotherapy and psycho-educational assessments. Behavioral respite for children with developmental disabilities is delivered in the family's home, and in-home parent training is led by BCBAs. IABA says it does not use aversive or punishing strategies and works with parents on every plan. Most managers hold a master's degree and most management staff are BCBAs. It is on the Lanterman and Eastern Los Angeles regional center vendor lists and the state's certified nonpublic agency list, so services can be funded by regional centers or school districts. It has a Sherman Oaks office, and its corporate office is in Irvine.
