Child anxiety and OCD treatment

Specialized treatment for anxiety and OCD, with a stated focus on helping children and families. Care uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), with mindfulness techniques for children. Options include a one-to-two session diagnostic evaluation, weekly CBT (typically 4-6 months), an intensive outpatient program (3-4 hours a day, 2-5 days a week, typically 3-6 weeks) that adds family systems treatment, and clinician-led weekly group therapy. Evaluations for children and teens look at how symptoms show up at home and at school and involve caregivers, and clinicians coach family members on supporting a child without enabling anxiety-driven behaviors. Seen in person at the Olympic Blvd office or via telehealth within California. A free 30-minute phone consultation helps families choose a starting point. Adults are seen too.
