Nevada Avenue Elementary

Nevada Avenue Elementary (K–5)

Ages 5–11 · Free

A public elementary school in West Hills for kindergarten through grade 5, run by LAUSD at 22120 Chase Street. The school's website describes a Dual Language program with its own page, a transitional kindergarten class and a special education program. The state directory marks the school as offering a multilingual education program. Student activities listed on the site include Folklórico dance, a Step Team, Making Movies That Matter, Woodcraft Rangers and tutoring. The school has a Parent Center, a PTA and a photo album of school events. It is a regular neighborhood school rather than a charter or magnet, so it enrolls by attendance area through LAUSD's enrollment portal. Tuition is free. Students are about 5 to 11 years old, so younger children can start in TK or kindergarten and move through fifth grade here.
