Executive Function Coaching
One-on-one coaching that teaches planning, organization, time management, task initiation and self-advocacy, practiced on the student's actual assignments each week. The coach starts with a conversation with the family and picks two or three target skills. They then build and test a system for the student, on paper, digital or both. Coaches can coordinate with the school's learning specialists and teachers, and with therapists if the family asks. Families get a written recap after every session, and the coach fades out over time as the student takes over the systems. It suits students with ADHD, dyslexia or other learning differences, students facing a heavier workload at a new school, and college students managing their own time for the first time. Sessions are in person in New York City or online.
