Exploring Minds Montessori Pre-School

Ages 2–6 · $1,500–$3,000/month

Exploring Minds is a Montessori preschool at 6047 Fulton Avenue in Valley Glen, licensed by the state for up to 82 children since 2003. It takes children from about 2.5 to 6. The Montessori program moves through practical life, sensorial, language, mathematics and geography work, with an outdoor classroom, and the school says it honors each child's unique pace. French, Spanish, music, sports and dance are taught alongside, and each year the school stages a large production. Families can choose two, three or five days a week, as a half day ending at 1:30 pm or a full day from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, with the five-day full plan finishing at 1:30 pm on Fridays. Monthly tuition runs from $1,500 for two part-time days to $3,000 for five full days, plus a $200 program fee. Parent tours are offered.
