Saturday Chinese School
Reading and writing classes are for children who already speak some Chinese; conversation classes take beginners from 4 years 9 months, and teens 10 and up. Advanced students prepare for the SAT Subject and AP Chinese tests. New students outside the TK, SK and beginner conversation classes take a placement test. The school year began August 29.

- Plus a $50 registration fee after June 14 and a $160 volunteer-service deposit for new families, refunded when they leave.

A nonprofit Saturday Chinese school founded in 1989 that meets at West High School in Torrance. It teaches Mandarin from kindergarten to advanced levels, plus conversation classes for children and teens.
