Birthday parties on the carousel
The Santa Monica Pier Carousel is a historic carousel in the Hippodrome on the Santa Monica Pier, at 200 Santa Monica Pier. Birthday parties use a roped-off party area on the carousel, with unlimited rides for up to 30 kids, so the whole group can ride together during the party. Party pricing is set by email inquiry, and the party contact on the city's page is Anne at 310-458-8786 or anne@santamonicapier.org. Regular rides cost $3 per rider, and children 3 and under ride free with a ticketed adult. The carousel is open Monday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and it is closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays except the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and the Wednesday after Christmas. Its ADA-accessible chariot has a portable ramp, and staff at the ticket booth can help riders who need it.
