In-home speech therapy and evaluations
In-home speech-language therapy serving Santa Monica, Brentwood and Pacific Palisades. Evaluations combine standardized testing, clinical observation and a parent interview, and may include review of other reports and talks with teachers; a written report gives skills, areas of need, goals, a treatment plan and referrals. Treatment is typically 1-3 one-on-one sessions a week, with teacher consultation, occasional co-treatment with other therapists, and parent education built in. Areas include articulation, phonological errors, childhood apraxia of speech (DTTC, TEMPO, PROMPT), prosody, vocabulary, grammar, narrative and figurative language, and, for autistic children, communication, self-regulation, executive functioning, joint attention and play, with a neurodiversity-affirming approach. Toddlers learn through play with common toys; older children get more structured work. Ages served run up to 25.

About Rothstein Speech Pathology
Rothstein Speech Pathology is the in-home speech therapy practice of Joe Rothstein, MS, CCC-SLP, BCS-CL, a speech-language pathologist with more than 20 years of practice, licensed in California and a certified member of ASHA. He is a Board Certified Specialist in Child Language and a certified provider of the UCLA PEERS social skills program. He is the author of the Power Books: Syntax workbooks and the Prosody Treatment Program (Pro-Ed), and creator of the Power Tunes CD. The practice serves the Westside of Los Angeles: Santa Monica, Brentwood and Pacific Palisades.
