Child and adolescent psychiatry with Dr. Brooke Spanos, who is board certified in child and adolescent psychiatry. The first visit is a 90-minute comprehensive evaluation, after which she shares her impressions and recommendations, which may include psychotherapy, psychiatric medication, and referrals such as educational evaluation, speech therapy or support groups. Follow-ups run 20 minutes for routine medication management, 40 minutes for child medication management, and 50 minutes for psychotherapy or more complex medication issues. Areas of expertise include ADHD, autism spectrum, anxiety, depression and mood, OCD, tic disorders including Tourette's, behavior problems, grief and loss, learning differences and neurodiversity, adoption and foster care, and effective parenting techniques. She also sees transitional-age youth (16-25) and adults. Visits are in the Santa Monica office or by telehealth. She takes no insurance panels; a monthly superbill is provided for reimbursement and payment is due at the time of service.
