Equestrian Therapy
Equestrian therapy for children with disabilities, taught one child at a time with up to three staff or volunteers working with each rider. Goals are set individually for each student. The program uses vaulting (gymnastics on a moving horse) and English and Western riding. It works on the same targets as traditional therapy, such as balance, coordination, muscle tone, motor skills, sensory processing, attention, and speech or communication, in a ranch setting rather than a clinic. There are no group lessons. The ranch is not accepting new applications right now while it serves families already on its waitlist, and families can join a notification list to hear when it reopens. The office is open Tuesday to Friday and Saturday daytime.

About Carousel Ranch
Carousel Ranch is a nonprofit started in July 1997 by Becky Graham and Denise Redmond, beginning with one student and one horse in a neighbor's backyard. It serves children and young adults with special needs through an equestrian therapy program and a vocational program called Ready to Work!, which prepares young adults for life after high school. The ranch is in Santa Clarita.
