ABA therapy and behavior assessment
Applied behavior analysis delivered in the child's home, community and school, to teach social, communication, adaptive and self-help skills. Services begin with a functional behavior assessment, followed by individualized behavior intervention plans. Comprehensive ABA typically runs 15-40 hours a week of direct treatment, and focused ABA 3-14 hours a week. Treatment may start in a structured setting and move toward more naturalistic methods, and training caregivers is a core part of every plan. The agency also provides 1:1 ABA therapists and supervision in schools as a California Certified Nonpublic Agency, when the IEP specifies NPA Behavior/ABA services. Paid through private health insurance, Medi-Cal plans, regional centers (vendor number PE1737; Eastern LA and Lanterman vendor lists), school districts or private pay. About 90% of staff are bilingual in English and Spanish, and therapists complete 11 days of training and pass background checks.
