PRIDE Reading Program

Orton-Gillingham reading and dyslexia tutoring

Up to age 21 · $150

One-on-one Orton-Gillingham based tutoring in reading, writing, spelling and comprehension, taught with multisensory, structured literacy methods. It is written for struggling readers and for children with dyslexia, dysgraphia, auditory or visual processing disorders and childhood apraxia of speech. Reading Specialists come to the home or school site in Pasadena, Glendale, Alhambra, Arcadia, Rosemead and other Los Angeles areas, or teach online. Families start with a phone consultation and a free online placement assessment that sets the starting level. Specialists are trained in the PRIDE method and are screened and background-checked. A summer accelerated option runs Monday to Friday, two hours a day, for four to six consecutive weeks, with a $150 registration fee for the placement assessment and materials.
