Early intervention and infant stimulation

Up to age 3

Early intervention for children 0-36 months who have a medical condition, an established developmental delay, or are at risk for delay, and who have been qualified by a regional center. Services are infant stimulation, infant stimulation with a behavioral component (a BCBA advises staff and families on specific behaviors), and specialized services: occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech and language therapy and developmental assessments. Therapy assistants deliver direct services under state-mandated licensed therapist supervision. Consultants address feeding, sensory integration, fine and gross motor skills, language and behavior. Family participation is central. Funded through the family's regional center; availability for OT/PT/speech is more limited, so families check with the office or their regional center. The agency covers most of Los Angeles and the Inland Empire and offers early-morning, evening and weekend scheduling.

In-home ABA for autism

Ages 1+

In-home behavior intervention and parenting skills programs for children and young people with an autism diagnosis, with the site giving ages as 18 months to 22 years (2 to 22 on the ABA page). Every case is supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, who reviews progress, adjusts interventions and involves the family. Parent education and collaboration are emphasized, with training in handling problem behaviors and building skills toward developmental milestones. To start, families provide an insurance card, an autism diagnosis in a psychological evaluation and/or an ABA prescription, and consent to release information; the agency checks eligibility and benefits, then performs a Functional Behavioral Assessment. Listed carriers include Anthem Blue Cross (Medi-Cal), Aetna, Optum, Magellan, IEHP, MHN, Cigna and LA Care; private pay is also available. Evening and weekend scheduling; staff speak multiple languages. Free phone consult.

  • Applied behavior analysis, Parent training and Functional behavioral assessment
