Behavior intervention (school district funded)

Ages 3+

Behavior intervention for exceptional children, provided as a certified nonpublic agency funded by school districts (behavior intervention design and implementation, BII/BID). Services include full or part-time classroom therapeutic companions from preschool through high school, plus home and community behavior support covering crisis support, daily living skills, adaptive skills training and social inclusion support. The agency also offers parent training, school/family integration training to line up interventions across settings, and customized training for special education faculty and staff. Individualized intervention programs can include assessment, organization and progress monitoring of related medical, speech and language, occupational therapy and physical therapy services. The approach looks at the child's emotional development, home life, school and community together. The state list shows ages 3 to 22.
