Bilingual speech therapy and evaluations
Bilingual speech-language pathology clinic in Montebello that evaluates and treats children with language disorders, social-language (pragmatic) disorders, apraxia, articulation and phonological disorders, stuttering, autism, Down syndrome-related disorders, feeding disorders, cleft palate, auditory processing and hearing disorders. Evaluations combine case history, parent interview, standardized testing and clinical observation, and end in a written report with recommendations. Treatment is one-on-one, with frequency set by the evaluation, and parent involvement is required, with coaching in the family's primary language. Clinicians are trained in PROMPT, Hanen, Talk Tools, Floortime and PECS. Adults are also seen. Paid through regional centers (vendor), Kaiser, in-network PPOs (Aetna, Blue Shield, Anthem Blue Cross, Cigna, Health Net) and about 30 other plans, or private pay. Montebello hours are Mon-Thu 8-6, Fri 8-5, Sat 8-2. Also sees clients at Huntington Park and La Habra.
