PlaySpace Camp

Special needs camp · Ages 2–7 · Full day · 9am–2pm

A neuro-affirming, inclusive day camp for children ages 2.5 to 7, with siblings welcome; children do not need an evaluation or occupational therapy to join. Activities target community participation and social recreation through fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, emotional regulation and social skills, all through play, using Social Thinking, Handwriting without Tears and Zones of Regulation. Children rotate through activities in groups of 4 to 5 peers led by an interdisciplinary team of occupational therapists, speech therapists, OT students, behaviorists and/or aides. Regular day runs 9am to 12pm and extended day 9am to 2pm, Monday to Friday. Summer camp is listed for June 15 to August 28, with summer break dates finalized by interest and registration. No make-up days, prorated fees or refunds for absences. Sign up by emailing the office.

Occupational and speech therapy

Occupational therapy · Up to age 21

Pediatric occupational therapy and speech therapy built on play. Each starts with an initial evaluation (parent interview, standardized assessment and clinical observation), a meeting with caregivers to review findings and goals, then sessions and regular progress check-ins with re-evaluation. OT works on fine, gross and visual motor skills, sensory processing, executive functioning, emotional regulation, feeding, life skills and daily activities such as dressing and toileting; sessions run fifty minutes in the clinic, at school or at home. Speech therapy covers language expression and comprehension, articulation, fluency, voice, social communication, pragmatics and feeding, in the sensory gym and clinic, with school or home visits available. The practice also provides Self-Determination Program and regional center services, individual or group, aimed at adaptive skills, social skills and community participation.
