Home-based occupational therapy and aqua therapy
Occupational therapy evaluation and treatment delivered in the family's home or in community settings, so therapy happens in the child's own environment and no travel is needed. The practice also offers one-on-one aqua therapy, where the properties of water provide sensory input for self-regulation and attention, balance, coordination and strength; children do not need to know how to swim. Pages name autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, apraxia, developmental coordination disorder, sensory processing differences and developmental disabilities among those who benefit. Regional center clients in the Self-Determination Program can use it for aquatic therapy, OT, water safety instruction, independent living support and caregiver training, and an aquatic support specialist can act as a one-on-one aide at a pool. The practice serves all ages and offers a free phone consultation.
