Recreational Climbing Team

Sports program · Ages 6–17 · $180–$205/month

Sessions are two hours: Sunday 8-10 a.m. and 12:30-2:30 p.m. (ages 6-11) and 10 a.m.-12 p.m. (ages 12-17); Monday 4-6 and 6-8 p.m. (ages 6-11); Wednesday and Friday 4-6 p.m. (ages 6-11) and 6-8 p.m. (ages 12-17); Saturday 8-10 a.m. and 12:30-2:30 p.m. (ages 6-11) and 10 a.m.-12 p.m. and 2:30-4:30 p.m. (ages 12-17). The team is at full capacity and families join the wait list. The competitive team practices Monday to Thursday from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Echo Park and Lincoln Heights for $360 a month.

Climbing and birthday parties

The Stronghold Climbing Gym at 650 South Avenue 21 in Lincoln Heights is an indoor climbing gym that also hosts birthday parties. It is open Monday to Friday from 6 am to 11 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 8 am to 9 pm. A membership gives access to this gym and its Echo Park location at 1624 West Sunset Boulevard.
