A hospital-based autism clinic where a multidisciplinary team offers initial autism assessments, second opinions and support for children with a confirmed diagnosis, all in one location. A developmental-behavioral pediatrician leads the care team, with specialists in child psychology, occupational therapy and speech-language pathology. Treatment plans may include feeding therapy, individual or family counseling, medication management, occupational therapy and speech therapy. The Feeding Clinic treats behavioral or sensory-based feeding problems; the occupational therapist works with a family for three to six months using food chaining, behavior modification, sensory strategies and parent coaching. Families start by calling the Warm Phone Line to talk with a nurse care manager, who can then schedule a clinic appointment.
