Weekly Wellness Program

Ages 12+ · $1,500

Small-group, community-based sessions for kids, teens and young adults with special needs, built around moving the body, eating healthy food and socializing in the local community. The Weekly Wellness Program meets twice a week for an hour, with recommended ages of 12 to 18 in the 2024 spring session and 14 to 22 in the fall, and outings may include restaurants, movies, bowling, farmers markets and fitness gyms to build social, functional and motor skills. Participation is capped so each child gets direct instruction. Sessions are led by an adapted PE teacher who is first aid and CPR trained. The program does not bill insurance; Self-Determination Program funds through the regional center can be used, and it is considered a Social Recreation Program by Harbor Regional Center. A 6-week session was posted at $1,600 and 8-week sessions at $1,500.

  • Tuesdays & Thursdays, 4–5pm
  • Posted 2024 rate for an 8-week, 16-session block; a 6-week, 12-session block was $1,600.
  • Activities: Social skills groups, Sports and Cooking
