Kids Town Preschool
Kids Town Preschool is a full-day, year-round preschool run by the Koreatown Youth and Community Center at 1140 Crenshaw Blvd. It takes children about 2 to 5 in mixed-age groups, in open classrooms with flexible spaces, and teaches in English, Korean and Spanish with bilingual teachers. It aims to build independence for kindergarten. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., open all year. Each classroom has a qualified early childhood educator and two assistant teachers, an 8-to-1 ratio, and a licensed capacity of 72. Children do not need to be potty trained, and there is a nap from 12:30 to 2:30. Breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack are served daily. Tuition is $555 a month for qualifying families and $1,280 a month for others. Enrollment starts with an in-person tour, then a registration packet and a fee to hold a spot, with a waitlist if there is no opening.

About Kids Town Preschool
Kids Town Preschool is run by the Koreatown Youth and Community Center (KYCC), a community organization in Koreatown that also runs after-school programs, camps and family services. The preschool has been licensed by the state since May 2005 and teaches in English, Korean and Spanish. Families who use the preschool can also use KYCC's free parent services, such as summer camps, utility bill help and free tax preparation.
